Efyra
The few traces and ruins of ancient Ephyra are located between Parga and Preveza near the respective highway. This was a Helian colony in the 7th century B.C.
Igoumenitsa
Igoumenitsa is the capital of Thesprotia. It has 25,000 inhabitants. It is the ''Gate '' of Europe with the modern port connecting Greece with the rest of Europe and Egnatia highway which has already officially been in circulation for 2 years. It is 24 km from Sivota. It connects Sivota with frequent bus lines which are much more frequent during the summer months. In order to enrich their holiday ,our guests can use Egnatia Highway to combine their vacation and short trips to inner continent. Potential destinations for our visitors can be, Ioannina, Metsovo, Zagoria, Zalogo etc.
Nekromandio
This is the famous Nekromandio of Ephyra. The ruins of the Necromandio are located near the road that leads to Kanalaki Preveza a short distance from the highway leading to Preveza and approximately 50km. from Sivota .From time immemorial this Nekromantio was known to the ends of the ancient world. There was a common belief among Greeks and barbarians that it was the only way for the living to communicate with the dead.
Nikopoli
Nikopoli is the largest ancient city of Epirus . Its ruins ,where the Roman roof tiles dominate, are located a few miles north of Preveza and approximately 80 km from Sivota. Nikopoli was built after 41 BC during the reign of the Roman Emperor Octavian after Cleopatra and Anthony's fleet crash off Aktion Preveza. Nikopoli was destined to become one of the largest cities of Greek-Roman era. The development of Nicopolis resulted in the concentration of Greek, Roman and barbaric population to the extent that its population exceeded 300,000 inhabitants. Trade, crafts, arts and literacy in particular flourished. Within the bounds of literacy development many schools were founded in Nicopolis. The Roman rulers and other affluent Roman citizens competed on who will send his children to study to Nikopolis first.
Our visitors coming from the south can plan a visit to Nikopolis and a bit further north in Nekromandio shortly before their arrival at our facilities. Otherwise, they can visit these sites in the morning with greater comfort.
